Andreas Gursky

This time it's necessary to share the brillant work of a fellow-countryman: Andreas Gursky. He is a German photographer who studied in Düsseldorf under the influence of Bernd and Hilla Becher and is now best known for his massive architectual and perspective large-scale photographs. His personal jackpot he landed with '99 Cents' (2nd picture below) which is the most expensive photograph in history and was sold for 3.3 million dollars at auction. A toast to Andreas Gursky!
