Vernissage: Roger Melis - Die Sibylle Jahre (1967-1987)

Everybody asking himself how fashionphotography was realized in the old German Democratic Republic with limited or maybe just different possibilities of technical equipment as much as limited choices of fashion on its own next to high gloss magazines like VOGUE or Harper's Bazaar should definitely not miss tonights vernissage of one of the pioneers of fine art photography in the former German Democratic Republic: Roger Melis!

With "Die Sibylle Jahre" the Gallery Of Modern Photography is exhibiting Roger Melis' works from the period of 1967 to 1987, where most of his works have been published in the famous GDR's magazine "Sibylle", next to a high number of unpublished, censored photographs, too.
