Berlin Fashion Week: July 5th - July 10th

Being back in Berlin, tons of books and readers are waiting to be prepared into PowerPoint Presentations...

Thats why i will focus my attention on 'paper written knowledge' for the next days, always keeping an eye on the light at the end of the tunnel, the end of this week and with it the beginning of July's first days. Those will welcome us Berliners and worldwide visitors with a bunch of events in the name of:

Curious as always there is one thing which buyers, visitors and press definitely should have a look at: TOKYO GOES BERLIN! This project was set up and supported by IMG and PREMIUM in order to give young Japanese Designers the possibility to show their new collections to the buyers- and pressworld after their mainstay - the Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo - this spring was cancelled due to the earthquake and tsunami devastations. Therefore the project TOKYO GAKUDAN fills an entire floor at the PREMIUM location STATION (2nd floor, entrance via hall 1 & hall 3) which will provide more than 30 talented Japanese designers: 

EVILEVOL, ALEXANDER LEE CHANG, AQUVII, BANAL CHIC BIZARRE, BEGBIE, CIRCUS, CZAR, DAVID SHOP LIFTER, EDDING-POST, ENDS & MEANS, IS-NESS, JFW, JIEDA, JONA, KAMI NO SEISAKU SHO, MABUYA MABUYA, MAKOTO OOZU, MASAGON, MIGHTY, MINNA, NOZOMI ISHIGURO, OTTAIPNU, PUBLIC IMAGE, R.SQUARED, SATORU TANIYAMA, –SATTA, SCOLOCT, SEVENTY FOUR, SKULLS, STOIQUE, SUICOKE, SYURO, T.A.S., TOU / NO CONTROL AIR, TUTAEE

And thus gives them the chance to show their collections! Even Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin supports the following 6 selected Japanese Youngdesigners:

Which will showcase their collections on saturday, July 9th at 2pm in the Fashion Week tent at Brandenburger Tor/ Strasse des 17. Junis. So everybody being in Berlin during this time, having the opportunity to visit shows and fairs should absolutely take advantage of this high concentration of Japanese Designers presenting themselves in Berlin! I for myself will try to catch some impressions for everybody who will not be there, spreading the word as usual by keeping you posted about events, cocktails, shows and their collections ♥
