Make Do And Mend

The 'Make Do And Mend' phenomenon is nothing new in Berlin. Whether it is a butchery turning into a boutique, an Imperial Post Office Building hosting a gallery, club and restaurant or other places like an old depot or a thermal power station where clubs found their new playground. This time we talk about the district Berlin -Neukölln and a pump station of the early 20th century which finds his new magic by the amazing work of Nils Wenk and  Jan Wiese! On behalf of the artists Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset the architect duo transformed the 1920's industrial building into a studio space including a gallery and Mr. Elmgreen's and Dragset's residence!
Bravo!
